Worship SPL: Church Volume

Worship SPL ("the app") is made by Daisuke Kawaue. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

We do not receive your personal information or usage data. The app does not send it to our servers.

1. Sound from the microphone

The app uses the microphone to measure sound levels. The sound is analyzed on your iPhone as it comes in. The app does not record audio, and no audio is saved or sent anywhere.

2. Information saved on your iPhone

The app saves the following on your iPhone so you can compare checks over time:

your church's name, if you enter one
results of Stage Volume Checks and position corrections
service logs: one sound level per minute, the highest 15-minute average, the time over your limit, and the limit you set
a calibration with a sound level meter, if you make one
a random ID for your iPhone, used only to tell whether two results were measured with the same iPhone

We do not receive this information. Deleting the app deletes the data the app stored on your iPhone.

If you invite team members, your church's records are stored in your iCloud account and shared with the people you invite, using Apple's CloudKit. We cannot see these records. You can stop sharing at any time (Setup > Share with Your Team).

You can turn off microphone access at any time in the iPhone Settings app (Settings > Worship SPL > Microphone).

3. Files you choose to share

When you tap Share, the app creates a pink noise audio file or a one-page PDF report and passes it to the share sheet. Where it goes is up to you.

4. Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment information.

5. What we do not do

The app has no ads and no analytics, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date.
